I get lots of requests to find deals on Clek Convertible Car Seats, but the deals on them are getting harder & harder to come by. So for those that have been waiting, here’s some good news! Right now both the Clek Foonf and the Clek Fllo are 20% off, which is an awesome deal on this brand!
So what makes these car seats so popular? Clek seats have extended rear-facing capabilities, fit three-across in most vehicles, and have an awesome stain-resistent fabric. Here’s more details on both seats.
The Clek Foonf (retail $450) has extended rear-facing capabilities, accommodating children up to 50 lbs. It also has an anti-rebound bar that improves stability in the rear-facing position by limiting rotation of the child seat. Once you decide to turn your child forward-facing, it has a Rigid-LATCH System that makes installation easy and its REACT Safety System keeps them extra safe by significantly reducing the forces transmitted to the child during a collision with ‘rear-facing like’ performance.
The Clek Fllo (retail $380) is like the kid sister to the Foonf. It has the same extended rear-facing capability (up to 50 lbs) and it also has an anti-rebound bar. In the forward-facing position it uses the EACT System which works a bit differently than the Foonf’s REACT System, but it still provides additional protection to the child in a collision. It also doesn’t have the Rigid-LATCH and instead has a standard tether latch. The biggest difference between the two seats however is the weight – the Foonf is a beast at 38 lbs and the Fllo weighs just 25 lbs (a little more with the anti-rebound bar installed). It also sits lower in the vehicle increasing visibility for the driver.
You can compare the models in more detail on Clek’s website.
If you want to use either seat with a newborn, you’ll need to buy the Infant Thingy Insert since both seats fit babies starting at 14 lbs. Neither seat comes with a drink holder, but you can buy them here.
