Pirapír is a small family business run out of Southern California by mom Imelda and her two daughters May and Hazel. After a trip to NYC last year, the three were inspired to start a handmade business together creating clothes and accessories for littles and adults. Imelda is the one who sews their creations, and the quality is truly superb considering she has 40+ years sewing experience! Sisters May and Hazel are co-designers and also do the marketing and operations of the business. On top of running Pirapír, all three of these hard working women have other full-time jobs but they stay motivated because they love designing and creating unique items for their customers.
Pirapír opened last October with handmade accessories including headwraps and infinity scarves for both women & children then expanded to children’s clothing earlier this summer with the release of their line Pirapír Petites. The summer line is an ode to NYC and features whimsical dresses and rompers for the girls and tops for the boys. I can’t wait to see what they do for fall!
For all you mamas on the hunt for toddler infinity scarves, Pirapír’s are the best I’ve found. They’re soft, lightweight, and feature a hidden velcro closure for safety and easy removal. They would be the perfect piece to take your little one into fall and they are very affordable. I absolutely love the one we have!
*Now through Monday, Pirapír is offering 20% off anything in their shop including all pre-orders of their newest summer collection to Thrifty Littles readers. Use code “thrifty20” at checkout to take advantage of the discount.
